This painting was completed shortly after the passing of my brother, John Ferguson. John fought a valiant battle with cancer, but finally let go, with his family surrounding him. The reference photo for this piece is of a waterfall on the property of a paliative care hospice to which my brother may have gone, had he lived long enough. This photo captured something in me and I was compelled to paint it. The Glory and The Light, a watercolour, was undertaken on tilted illustration board, using the method that I learned about painting rocks from fine artist, Ann Pember, on her DVD workshop, "" at Creative Catalyst Productions on the web.
